My Journey to Tokyo from My Eyes
My name is Anthony Lue.
PARAPLEGIC H3 DIVISION ONTARIO PROVINCIAL PARA-CYCLING TEAM
2020 TOKYO PARALYMPIC GAMES HOPEFUL
Four years ago, my life changed in the blink of an eye when an industrial accident left me with a severe spinal cord injury. I was a provincial athlete paralyzed from the waist down, and at the time I felt my hopes, dreams and future were shattered.
I knew I had to learn to view the world through a new lens and overcome daily barriers in an effort to live a life that was both fulfilling and inspiring. So, despite my spinal cord injury, I made a conscious decision to persevere, build new dreams -- and triumph in the face of life’s adversities.
Today, I’m an entrepreneur building a career in business, a motivational speaker, broadcaster and a competitive handcyclist with my sights set on the Gold in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics games.
I will achieve my Olympic dreams by continuing to work furiously, inspiring others through my life’s message with raw passion, startling reality and perseverance.
I am pushing forward!
