The road was rough and long but I made it to Saint Georges, Quebec safely!  It was a 15km Time Trial with a couple days rest and then 7 laps equaling a brutal 42km road race!  Even with driving and riding the courses, I still had no clue what kind of pain I was in for. Going out a little to conservative in the TT and then blowing up a hill on the way back with only a couple km’s to go, didn’t prove to go well. Lesson learnt! The road race started on a 6% grade hill…if it was snowing we definitely would have spun out with the speed the lead group took off at! I was able to hold on for the first lap but the terrain got the best of me. With it being the toughest course I have ridden on to date, I know what I have to do to get better and faster. Needless to say it was a very long and lonely 9.5hr drive home!
